?在职英语四级：
　　在职人员没有通过英语四级考试，能报考研究生的。　　大学英语四级考试，即CET-4，College English Test Band 4的缩写，是由国家教育部高等教育司主持的全国性教学考试。考试的主要对象是根据教育大纲修完大学英语四级的在校大学本科生或研究生。大学英语四、六级标准化考试自1986年末开始筹备，1987年正式实施。　　英语四级考试目的是推动大学英语教学大纲的贯彻执行，对大学生的英语能力进行客观、准确的测量，为提高我国大学英语课程的教学质量服务。国家教育部委托“全国大学英语四、六级考试委员会”（1993年前名为“大学英语四、六级标准化考试设计组”）负责设计、组织、管理与实施大学英语四、六级考试。

　　报考英语四级的条件如下。

　　(1) 考试对象限制在高校内部

　　(2) 全国大学英语四级和六级考试对象分别是高等学校修完大学英语四级或六级的本科生；

　　(3) 同等程度的大专生或硕士研究生经所在学校同意，可在本校报名参加考试；

　　(4) 同等程度的夜大或函授大学学生经所在学校同意，可在本校报名参加考试；

　　(5) 1987 年后毕业需要补考的大学本科毕业生。

　　理论上是不可以的 但是你可以找代报 有些书店或者培训机构就可以

　　不可以。英语四六级是大学期间才可以申请的考试，大学毕业以后是不能继续考试的，所以报名在职人员也不能参加四六级考试，但是在职人员考试是可以考公共英语或者托业的，跟四六级一样的。

　　社会人员应该参加：全国英语等级考试（PETS，即原公共英语等级考试）是教育部考试中心组织的全国性英语水平考试，报考级别分一级、二级、三级、四级、五级，其中五级作为国家公派出国留学人员英语水平考试。

　　PETS一至四级考试时间为每年3月、9月的第二个星期六，报名时间为12月和6月，其中四级仅于9月开考；五级于每年6月、12月各举行一次，报名时间为4月和10月。

　　考生需本人持身份证到当地自考办报名。

　　具体报名要求可查当地人事考试网，报名不受年龄、职业、学历等任何条件限制，可任选一个级别。PETS笔试和口试单项合格的，成绩可以保留到相邻的下一次考试。还可以考商务英语：商务英语分三个等级：初级，中级，高级。

　　初级(Preliminary)：难度相当于我国大学英语四级，就剑桥英语考试系列来说，建议社会人员应该参加：全国英语等级考试（PETS，即原公共英语等级考试）是教育部考试中心组织的全国性英语水平考试，报考级别分一级、二级、三级、四级、五级，其中五级作为国家公派出国留学人员英语水平考试。
