　　many countries try their best to bid for hosting the olympic games.and every country does its best to get more medals in the games.in 2000,the city of sidney held the 27th olympic games.over one hundred countries all over the world took part in it.we won 28gold medals that year.china,a major sport country,will hold the 29th olympic games in 2008.people from all walks of life are participating in various activities and making good preparations for it.

　　there are five rings on the olympic flag,which are considered to symbolize,the five continents:europe,asia,africa,australia and america.the olympic motto is:”swifter,higher,stronger.” the games can promote the understanding and friendship among different peoples and different nations.

　　Waste sorting is not a popular convention in our country, though it should be. Garbage bins filled with all sorts of recyclable and non—recyclable wastes mixed together are seen everywhere. People still haven’ t formed the habit of sorting wastes.The neglect of waste sorting will bring about a series of problems. First of all, it causes a mass of waste of resources that could have been recycled or reused. Secondly, the growing amount of mixed rubbish will take up a lot of space in the landfill site, which will worsen the land shortage problem. Last but not least, it will increase the cost of waste treatment.　　Waste sorting should be advocated, no matter from the perspective of economy or environment. Everyone should do their best by starting from daily life. More importantly, more campaigns for waste sorting should be conducted to raise the public awareness.

　　As you know,there are billions of people living in this planet and there are much more waste are generated every day.As time goes by,the waste threats the living environment deeper and deeper.

　　In order to solve this problem,people come up with an idea.Its waste sorting.Waste sorting is very important way for making the environment better.First,there are many things which can be used again in the waste,in other words,some part of the waste is of value.Using this part of waste is a good way to save resources.Second, some of the waste is not degradable and it has a bad influence on the soil.For this,waste sorting can take out things which can be recovered as well as the things not easy to degrade and then waste can be less and less.

　　In brief, waste sorting is an important and meaningful way to improve the environment.So,its time to take action to do waste sorting and I believe our environment will be better one day.

　　this afternoon i went to see my friend liu ying. she has been ill for three days and this morning she felt even worse, so her father took her to the hospital. the doctor examined her carefully and said it was nothing serious. she got a common cold,but she had better stay in bed for two or three days. after taking some medicine she felt much better.　　liu ying looked still worried. she was afraid of missing her lessons. i told her not to worry. i could help her with her lessons.i hope she will be all right and keep up with others.
